The architecture
of Soka University of America (SUA), Aliso Viejo, has been
selected for the Best Construction of California 2001 award in
the higher education division. The commendation states:
"From the owner to all the architects, consultants,
builders and governing agencies, this project presented a
number of daunting challenges. . . . The overall commitment to
quality from all parties has resulted in what many call
craftsmanship unparalleled since the completion of the Getty
Museum in Los Angeles. Summit Architects has also drawn high
praise for its dedication."
The award was made by California Construction Link, a
leading U.S. construction magazine published by Dodge
Construction Publications.
