Tree Planting in Bolivia

SGI-Bolivia's young men planting the trees

On February 24, the young men of SGI-Bolivia planted 100 saplings on the periphery of a soccer field used by local youth in El Torno City. The tree planting resulted from discussions between the SGI-Bolivia youth and El Torno Mayor Laro Paņagua about how best they could serve the community. City Environment Department Chief Marciano Rojas, who planted trees together with the young men, praised and thanked them for their volunteerism. Mayor Paņagua expressed his appreciation for the SGI-Bolivia young men's efforts to beautify the public park and soccer field. He said he looked forward to the saplings' growth into full-sized trees that will provide welcome shade, alongside avenues of colorful flowers and other flora.
