Photo Exhibition “Beyond the Horizon”

“Beyond the Horizon,” an exhibition of photographs taken by members of the Hato-kai, a group of Soka Gakkai members who work on oceangoing vessels, opened on January 21 at the Jakarta Maritime Academy in Jakarta, Indonesia. Some 600 visitors attended the opening, including students from local high schools.

“Beyond the Horizon” features around 50 photographs capturing the sea’s wild natural beauty, bustling port scenes and village life, as captured by seafarers on their voyages. The exhibition has been shown in China, Mongolia, Russia, Vietnam, India and Norway, and in cities throughout Japan.
