Min-On Music Museum

The Min-On Music Museum has joined the International Council of Museums (ICOM), an international organization of museums and museum professionals committed to preserving, perpetuating and heightening public awareness of the world's natural and cultural heritage. Created in 1946 and headquartered in Paris, France, ICOM is a nongovernmental organization with formal ties to UNESCO. ICOM counts among its members the British Museum in London, U.K.; the Louvre Museum in Paris, France; and the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia.

The Min-On Music Museum was featured in CNN's World Report on July 13. The report introduced the museum's facilities and special activities, such as providing free recitals on vintage classical pianos famous for their connections with composers including Beethoven and Mozart, as well as its hands-on folk instrument corner and its library of music scores, recorded music, books and original music manuscripts.
