Creating Hope

"Everything that is done in the world is done by hope," wrote Martin Luther King, Jr. This issue of the SGI Quarterly looks at the power of hope--how it operates in our lives and in society as a whole. The particular focus is on ways of holding on to, finding or forging hope when objective circumstances seem bleak. Our contributors include scholars who have examined the nature of hope as well as individuals who have succeeded in generating hope in the face of overwhelming odds.
