From February 26 to March 2, the SGI-Panama Education Division collaborated with the Central Panama Region Teachers Training Program of the Panama Ministry of Education on "Values for the Third Millennium," a practical, hands-on seminar at the Ernesto T. Lefevre School. The event was part of the Makiguchi in Action Project based on the pedagogy of Tsunesaburo Makiguchi, the Soka Gakkai's founding president. The project, implemented in over 100 Panamanian schools to date, promulgates a learning method for children drawing on their interests and intellectual curiosity, instilling a spirit of cooperation and awareness of the environment through activities such as cultivating produce and making items out of recycled goods.
