Art Exhibitions in Hong Kong and Malaysia

On June 5, the exhibition "Works by Masters of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from Guangzhou" opened at the SGI-Hong Kong Culture Center. The event, cohosted by SGI-Hong Kong, the Guangzhou Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Guangzhou People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, featured the works of 80 artists from the city of Guangzhou in China. Organizers also held an exchange meeting for artists from Hong Kong and Guangzhou on June 6.

The Soka Gakkai Malaysia (SGM) group in the state of Melaka cohosted the 17th "International Calligraphy Joint Exhibition" with the Malaysian Contemporary Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Association and the International Calligraphy Alliance from June 27 to July 5. The event, held at the SGM Melaka Culture Center, showcased the works of calligraphers from Asia and Oceania. Malaysia's Minister of Tourism Dato' Seri Dr. Ng Yen Yen attended the opening.

SGM Secretary-General Koh Sia Feai expressed his belief that culture links the hearts of people, and his hope that the exhibition would foster international friendship and cultural enrichment.
