The SGI Student Club at the University of Calgary in Canada hosted the "Seeds of Change: The Earth Charter and Human Potential" and "Victory Over Violence" (VOV) exhibitions on campus from March 8-12. The showings coincided with the university's "March for Peace" month.

Kelly Dowdell, the University of Calgary's Consortium for Peace Studies program manager, and Alexandra Sears, community development coordinator for the Calgary organization of the Alliance to End Violence, both spoke at the opening ceremony.

From March 16-30, the VOV exhibition was shown at the Winnipeg Millennium Library. Over the two-week period, thousands of people viewed the exhibition, which looks at the causes of violence and explores solutions that emphasize dialogue and inner change. The exhibition served as a lead-up to the library's "Anti-Gang Strategies: What's Working? What's Not?" panel discussion hosted by the Winnipeg Police Department on April 15.

The SGI Buddhist Club at Toronto's York University displayed the "Building a Culture of Peace for the Children of the World" exhibition, in conjunction with the York Center for Human Rights, at the York University campus from March 1-6. On March 4, the club also held a seminar on the theme of dialogue.
