The opening ceremony for the exhibition "Tribute to Imagination: Salvador Dalí Crystal Sculpture" was held on May 12 at Soka Gakkai Malaysia's (SGM) Wisma Kebudayaan in Kuala Lumpur. The exhibition showcased 25 of Dalí's crystal sculptures, including well-known works such as The Melting Clock and Venus de Milo with Drawers.
Organized by SGM, the exhibition was a collaboration with the Embassy of Spain. The opening ceremony was attended by the Embassy of Spain Deputy Head of Mission Agustín Anguera on behalf of the Ambassador-Designate María Bassols Delgado. In his opening speech, Mr. Anguera said, "There is not a single field within the arts which Dalí has not explored, in most cases with success, which is in itself a tribute to his extraordinary creativity and imagination."

SGM, together with Yenji Clay Craft, also organized a workshop, "I Am Not Mad: Make your own Salvador Dalí art piece," which gave participants an opportunity to express their creativity through producing their own artworks inspired by Dalí. At the end of the workshop, they shared their thought processes and the ideas behind their creations. Participants ranged from junior high school students to adults.
